Karpman Drama Triangle
The Karpman Drama Triangle consists of three roles: the Victim, Rescuer, and Persecutor. Victim: The individual in a situation of helplessness or suffering. Rescuer: The person who steps in to try to save or fix the Victim. Bully/Persecutor: The one who takes a more aggressive or negative stance towards the Victim. Ways to manage strong emotions within this dynamic: Rescuing or fixing: Providing help or solving issues for others in an enabling way. Reacting strongly, adding fuel: Intensifying the conflict with dramatic responses. Demonstrating confidence to contain: Showing assurance and composure to control the situation.
