Parent Communication Training teaches parents communication skills based on the understanding that all behavior is communication. It teaches direct, solution-based communication along with kind and firm messages to develop mutual respect, improved cooperation, improved emotional regulation and generally more capable young people.

Who should attend?

Parents, grandparents, other family members, caregivers, and teachers!  We will address the framework for a respectful, partnership- based connection with children. Whether your pregnant, or have a toddler or a teen, this workshop will give you a fresh perspective on your relationship. We will seek to understand and address the communicative messages behind both children’s and our own behavior. We will be discussing how to set limits, foster cooperation, communicate clearly, handle big emotions and understand our own triggers and challenges as adults.

Cost is $100 per person or $150 per couple, which includes a copy of Family Tree Therapies’ parenting workbook to help develop your own action plan. A deposit of $30 due at the time of registration saves your spot. Feel free to bring a light snack and/or beverage. Coffee will be provided.
